THE BLACK BUTTERFLY PROJECT
The Black Butterfly Project is a program created & designed by the BPWNC to reward and uplift young ladies who are high school seniors, with a proven track record of excellence in academics, extracurricular activities and community service, by turning them into a beautiful butterfly for their Senior Prom. We want to create an unforgettable experience for young women who would otherwise not be able to afford prom attire. Prom time is a very special and memorable time in any high school senior’s life and finances should not be a factor.
This program is open to high school senior young ladies attending high school in the Wake County Schools system.
The following criteria must be met in order to qualify.
- Financially your family cannot pay for your prom attire.
- You must have at least a 2.5 GPA

- Submit a completed application a video, or both. Be creative! Stand out!
